When Shah Rukh Khan was slapped by a woman

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan launched the trailer of his much-awaited film ‘Fan’ amidst much fanfare at Yash Raj Studio on Monday. During the event, King Khan also made some candid confessions.

The ‘Dilwale’ actor revealed that he was once slapped by a woman. Narrating the incident, Shah Rukh said it happened on the way when he first came to Mumbai.

"I came by train for the first time when I came to Mumbai. The train would turn into a local after entering Mumbai which I was not aware of. So I did not let a few people sit on my berth saying that it is mine, 'I paid for it,'” he said.

Shah Rukh further said, “I did offer it to a lady, though, saying, 'you can sit but I won't let the men with you sit on my berth. And that lady slapped me real hard saying that 'it isn't yours, it is everybody's.'”

The ‘Baadshah’ of Bollywood also revealed that before joining filmdom, he felt like actor Kumar Gaurav, but at a later stage, he thought his looks resembled that of Hollywood actor Al Pacino.

"Initially I used to feel I look like Kumar Gaurav. He was the first star I wanted to meet. I was happy that I looked like someone good like him. Then after some point, I felt I looked like American actor Al Pacino," Shah Rukh told reporters at the trailer launch.

"Now at the age of 50, I feel I look like my father. I am hopeful a time will come when I would feel I look like myself," he added in jest.

His upcoming film ‘Fan’ is the story of Gaurav, a die-hard fan of superstar Aryan Khanna. Gaurav hero-worships the superstar as his god. He embarks on a journey from the bylanes of Delhi to the city of dreams, Mumbai to wish his ‘god’ on his birthday. But when things don't go according to plan, Gaurav's love and passion the superstar turns in to a dangerous obsession.
