When Big B left Lata Mangeshkar teary-eyed


The grand finale of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ left the melody queen Lata Mangeshkar teary-eyed. The 85-year-old singer moved into tears when the host and megastar Amitabh Bachchan mouthed the touching lines ‘mohobbat karnewale kam na honge, teri mehfil mein lekin hum na honge’. 'Kill Dil' stars Govinda, Parineeti Chopra, Ranveer Singh and Ali Zafar was present on the final episode.

The legendary singer tweeted on Sunday night, “Namaskar. I was watching the last episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’… the show was very nice. Like always Amit ji made the episode brilliant. He ended the show with a few lines- ‘mohobbat karnewale kam na honge, teri mehfil mein lekin hum na honge’. The moment he recited the lines, my eyes were filled with tears,” Mangeshkar posted on Twitter.

Lataji said that she has a very special place for Bachchan, 72, in her heart.

"@SrBachchan Amit ji Mere dil me aap ke liye khas jagah hai (Amitji there is a special place for you in my heart). Main aap ki bohot izzat karti hun (I greatly respect you). Ishwar aap ko humesha khush rakhe, deerghaayu kare aur sehetmand rakhe yehi meri mangal kaamana (May god always keep you happy, give you long life and keep you healthy)," she tweeted.

Amitabh, who is currently shooting for Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Piku’ in Kolkata touched by Lataji’s kind word and thanked Lata Mangeshkar for the warm wishes.

"Lata ji ...mere paas shabd nahin hain ki kis tarah aapko dhanyavaad doon (I don't have words to thank you)...," he tweeted.
