‘Welcome Back’ mints in Rs 31.40 crore in two days

Anees Bazme’s ‘Welcome Back’ released on Friday showed a massive jump on Saturday collecting Rs 17.05 crore on day two of its release. Janmastami holiday worked in favour of the film. The film also made a promising first day box-office collection of Rs 14.35 crore on Friday and the two days collection mounts to Rs 31.40 crore.

On Friday, ‘Welcome Back’ mostly dominated single theatres but on Saturday multiplexes also showed a good rush. The film is expected to touch Rs20 crore on Sunday. The film has also done a good business in the overseas market with Rs 8 crores in two days.

‘Welcome Back’ a sequel to 2007 film ‘Welcome’ which featured Akshay Kumar in the original stars John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles,

The film revolves around two brothers Uday Bhai and Manju Bhai have left the underworld, and have started their own business ventures. They are on a lookout for a spouse to marry their sister Ranjana (Shruti Haasan), who accidentally falls in love with a gangster, Ajju Bhai (John Abraham). The film revolves around the lives of these gangsters and their sister's blooming romance with Ajju.

The film is loaded with high dose of entertainment and laughter. The numbers are expected to soar on Sunday and come up with a satisfactory number.
