We don't take enough selfies: Vidya Balan denies split with hubby

Vidya Balan and Sidharth Roy Kapoor have been happily married for the past four years but only handful of ocassions, media spotted them togther. Due to their rare public appearance jointly, very often reports of their troubled marriage surfaced but the ‘Kahaani’ actress in a very smart way denies all the wrong speculation every time.

According to Vidya, since she and Sidharth do not click selfies together or attend parties together, the reports of their troubled marriage cropped up.

The versatile actress says they are not the “stereotypical husband and wife” the world expects them to be, and this often leads to rumours about their disturbed marriage. “Maybe, we don’t take enough selfies to share on Twitter, or hold hands all the time,” she says with a twinge of sarcasm. “People question why we don’t go to events together, or why we went for separate events on the same day. They find it odd; I find their reaction amusing. If I don’t know the people he works with, how does it make sense to attend his parties? He follows the same funda.”

After a two-year courtship, Vidya and Sidharth got married in a private ceremony in 2012. “We will complete four years of marriage next month. I don’t consider it necessary to react to rumours as long as things are fine between us,” she says confidently. Last month, Siddharth stepped down from his role as CEO and MD of Disney India to start his own business. Asked if he consulted her about his big decision, Vidya  ays, “I am not sure if ‘consult’ is the right word. But, yes, we did discuss it. He’s my husband, and I will support him in whatever he does.”

On the work front, Vidya’s next venture ‘Kahaani 2’ is almost ready to hit the floors on December 2. Audience and critics are showing thumps ups to the thrilling trailer. In the sequel, Vidya plays the role of a wanted criminal, Dirga Rani Singh. The film is slated for December 2 release.
