Watch video: ‘Ghost’ Anushka Sharma scares Shah Rukh Khan

Anushka Sharma is currently promoting her upcoming film ‘Phillauri’, in which she plays a friendly ghost named Shashi. In her promotional spree, the actress landed up at Mannat, the home of her first co-star Shah Rukh Khan and scared the wits out of him.

Anushka, who made her debut opposite Shah Rukh with ‘Rab Ne Banadi Jodi’, got King Khan to promote her forthcoming supernatural comedy drama. In keeping with the theme of the movie, Anushka and Shah Rukh shot for a social promotional campaign #ShashiWasThere, in the latter’s bunglow Mannat.

The ‘Raees’ actor is seen shooting a video saying, “I am making this video because people nowadays have become a lot more superstitious and feel that they are surrounded by supernatural beings... There are no ghosts actually."

Suddenly, Shah Rukh is interrupted by Anushka's voice and he gets scared. When he asks who she is, Anushka replies that she is Shashi, a friendly ghost from Phillaur, Punjab and that she is a huge fan of Shah Rukh. When the actor expresses his wish to see her, she replies that he can watch her on March 24 in ‘Phillauri’. Shah Rukh then requests fans to watch the film, which will release in the coming weekend.

Anushka posted the video on Facebook and captioned it as, “Bhoot hoon! Apni superpowers use karke Mannat mein ghus toh gayi! Pata hai wahan kya hua? #ShashiWasThere @iamsrk.”

‘Phillauri’ has been directed by Anshai Lal and also stars Diljit Dosanjh, Suraj Sharma and Mehreen Pirzada.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh and Anushka will reunite on-screen for the third time in Imtiaz Ali’s romantic drama tentatively titled ‘The Ring’, which is slated to hit screens on August 11. Shah Rukh and Anushka have previously worked together in ‘Rab Ne Banadi Jodi’ and ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’.
