‘Laal Rang' trailer: Randeep Hooda turns Haryanvi blood mafia

Actor Randeep Hooda who is known for his scintillating performances, once again mesmerises with his intriguing act in his upcoming film ‘Laal Rang’, the trailer of which has been released.

Randeep plays the role of a colourful Haryanvi youth Shankar in the film which also stars Akshay Oberoi, Pia Bajpai, Rajniesh Duggall and Meenakshi Dixit. ‘Laal Rang’ deals with the prevalent blood trade in Haryana of which few people know about.

In the trailer, Randeep as Shanker is involved in the illegal trade of blood. He sells blood in exchange of blood. He is a local don, but some consider him ‘devta’ (God). A young man Rajesh played by Akshay Oberoi joins Shankar in his illegal business to make quick money. But soon gets into trouble as police comes into the scene.

Randeep is seen in colourful shirts, a beaded neck piece and rings on his fingers of his both hands and speaks in rustic Haryanvi. Akshay too looks promising and the little over two-and-half-minute trailer also provides glimpses of Meenakshi and Pia.

The trailer also features bits of ‘Bhang Ragad Ke’ song from the movie.

‘Laal Rang’ is inspired by true events that happened in the north Indian state in 2002.

Directed by Syed Ahmad Afzal and produced by Nitika Thakur, the movie is scheduled to hit screens on April 22.
