Watch: Priyanka Chopra pays tribute to pop icon Prince at ABC event

Bollywood actress-turned-American TV star Priyanka Chopra has paid tribute to late pop icon Prince during a performance at the ABC Upfront show at Lincoln Center in New York City.

Priyanka opened the annual event on May 17 with a spoof video from her hit series ‘Quantico’, along with her co-star Jake McLaughlin. They pretended to interrogate all of ABC’s leading performers about a clue that read “It all begins with…” The ‘Quantico’ cast finally reveal that the complete statement is “It all begins with ABC” — a new tagline for the broadcasting network.

Soon after, the desi girl made her entry on the stage along with a troupe of dancers dancing to a modified version of the Mark Ronson-Bruno Mars’ hit ‘Uptown Funk’ mixed into Prince’s ‘Kiss’. On the stage, the back-dancers ripped off Priyanka’s waistcoat white shirt to reveal a shimmery red romper underneath.

The actress looked sizzling as she showed off her moves. Priyanka was joined by Miles Brown of ‘Black-ish’ for the tribute and they sang Prince's hit song ‘Kiss’. Prince died on April 21 at age of 57.

Actor Troy Gentile of ‘The Goldbergs’ also featured in the performance.

Meanwhile, Priyanka has just wrapped up the shooting of her Hollywood debut ‘Baywatch’ which stars Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron among others. In the film based on the 1990s popular TV series of the same name, Priyanka will be seen in the negative role of Victoria Leeds.

The movie is slated to release in May next year. She will also be seen in the second season of thriller series ‘Quantico’.
