Watch: Parineeti, Kalki reverse gender equation in ‘Man’s World’

The comedy web series titled ‘Man’s World’ dwells on the premise of role-reversal of man and woman. The first of the four-part series will be premiered on September 29 on Youtube.

The trailer of the series shows Kiran is unhappy due to the gender discrimination and unfair treatment meted out the male members of the society. In desperation, he makes a wish and realizes how difficult it is to be a woman in a ‘Man’s World’.

The two-minute long trailer features reversed roles where men is at the receiving end of sexism, inequlity, abuse, harassment which are often experienced by woman. The hilarious trailer even shows man giving birth and a baby boy is ‘unhappy news’.

The series features Gaurav Pandey as ‘Kiran’. It also features Parineeti Chopra, Kalki Koechlin, Richa Chadha, Rhea Chakraborty, Bhumi Pednekar and Soni Razdan. Their other co-stars include Pritish Nandy, Cyrus Sahukar, and Meiyang Chang among others.

Richard Curtis, the writer-director of popular movies like ‘Notting Hill’ and ‘Love Actually’ has been roped for the comedy series by Y Films, the youth spin-off of Yash Raj Films.

The other three parts of ‘Man’s World’ will be released on October 1, October 6 and October 8 respectively. The whole series will also be exclusively premiered at the Jagran Film Festival, Mumbai’s largest film festival, on October 1.

Written and directed by Vikram Gupta, it is an initiative to spread awareness about gender equality, which is one of the pivotal concerns of UN's Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
