Watch: Munna Michael song ‘Ding Dang’ is Tiger’s tribute to his father

A fresh song from Tiger Shroff-starrer film ‘Munna Michael’ titled ‘Ding Dang’ is out. The song features the ‘Heropanti’ actor doing what he does best – dancing his heart out.

In the movie, Tiger plays an aspiring dancer who idolises King of Pop, late Michael Jackson. Debutant Niddhi Agerwal plays the female lead opposite him. The video of the song is quite colourful and has Tiger showing off his dancing skills on the streets and atop a bus, while Niddhi match his steps.

Ganesh Acharya has choreographed the dance for the peppy and energetic song has been rendered by Amit Mishra and Antara Mitra. The song has been composed by Javed-Mohsin, while lyrics have been penned by Danish Sabri and the film’s director Sabbir Khan.

‘Ding Dang’ is said to be a tribute to Tiger’s father, veteran actor Jackie Shroff. The 27-year-old actor had earlier said in an interview, “The song is a tribute to my father (Jackie Shroff). There is no better way I could have done it than as his Munna. Dad is my buddy, my first hero... He's the reason I'm here. That's why for this character I'm trying to live his life.”

"We styled Tiger in a manner similar to his father back in the day. The dance moves have also been designed keeping Jaggu dada in mind. Tiger somewhat looks like his dad from Hero. He has even spoken in that lukkha lingo and does it well," director Sabbir Khan had said.

Tiger shared the song on his Twitter handle by writing, “Got into the #DingDang groove yet? Watch the song now on Eros Now. #DingDang away. Thank you for all the love!”

‘Munna Michael’ also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and is scheduled to release on July 21.
