Mulayam Singh Yadav’s daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav dances to ‘Ghoomar’ song from the non-released film ‘Padmavati’. The video of the same was released online and it created lots of controversy as the film is under sharp criticism.

The video has irked the Rajput group Karni Sena, which strongly opposed Sanjay Leela Bhansali's periodic drama for hurting the "sentiments of Rajputs".

"We will send them the original Ghoomar song and other Rajasthani folk songs if they like it so much," media reports quoted Kalvi as saying. 

Aparna danced to the Ghoomar song during her younger brother Aman Bisht's engagement ceremony at a five-star hotel in Lucknow. Her father Arvind Singh Bisht, Uttar Pradesh's information commissioner told NDTV, "We have no interest in any film or any scandal around it. At these private wedding functions, people often dance to folk songs and film songs. That was the spirit in which she danced."

Actress Deepika Padukone was also threatened for portraying the role of Rani Padmini.
