Watch: Deepika's ‘My Choice’ video crosses 2 million views

Reigning queen Deepika Padukone sends out a strong message about women empowerment through a new video, titled ‘My Choice’ directed by ‘Finding Fanny’ director Homi Adjania. The video produced by Dinesh Vijan and initiated by Vogue speaks out about women’s choice, her freedom and her individuality.

Voice-over by Deepika Padukone, the video featured 98 other women from different fields who stand for equality of women. The video also featured Zoya Akhtar and Nimrat Kaur in it. The video tells all to let women make their own choices.

It is a women’s choice what she wants to wear, to marry or not to marry, to have babies not to have, to have sex before marriage, after marriage or be a lesbian etc. It says on one has the right to decide her choice. She is an individual and she has all the right to make her choice.

In the video, Deepika is heard saying, "It is my choice to live life the way I want, to wear clothes I like, to decide how I want my body to be, when I want to get married or if I ever want to walk down the aisle, to decide if I want to be straight or a lesbian...' It is a black and white video.

Released on youtube on 28th March, the video has already crossed 2,524,826 views. This is not the first time, Deepika stands for her individuality. Months back, the actress lashed out at media when they wrote about her cleavage. 

The ‘Ram Leela’ actress is strong enough to voice her opinion and stands for what she feels is right.
