VJ Andy replaces Mantra in ‘India’s Got Talent’

It is often said that the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ is a huge platform for the celebrities to get noticed by industry. We have seen numerous examples of contestants of ‘Bigg Boss’ who got noticed on the show and were offered roles in either small screen or silver screen. The latest to the list is VJ Andy who was one of the finalists at ‘Bigg Boss 7’.

VJ Andy became a household name after his stint on ‘Bigg Boss’ and now he will be seen again in another reality show but not as a contestant but as a host of the show. VJ Andy will now be hosting reality show on Colors ‘India’s Got Talent’.

A source said, “Andy was offered to host India’s Got Talent from the semi final round post ‘Bigg Boss’. He is happy and excited about this.”

The source also added, “He will replace Mantra as he was busy with his prior commitments. Mantra was supposed to be there till the audition round.”

Andy will be shooting from today itself. There will be a female host as well on the show and she is comedian Bharti Singh. Bharti is associated with this show from the beginning of the fresh season of ‘India’s Got Talent’.

Apparently even ‘Bigg Boss’ was a Colors show. Andy twitted the news and wrote, “Happy to see my association with Colors continues. Hosting a show like #IGT is a step in a right direction. Thanks for the love.”

Andy’s supporters also twitted. Umang Purohit twitted, “@ColorsTV @iAmVJAndy @IGTonColors @bharti_lalli @karanjohar Though Andy is d host but i can't stop myself from saying #VoteForAndy ! :)”

But there are people who did not like Andy’s antics on ‘Bigg Boss’. Aritro twitted, “@ColorsTV @iAmVJAndy @IGTonColors @bharti_lalli @karanjohar We r not going 2 watch da show IGT anymore.... get lost Baigan.”Anothernon supporter, Sonia twitted, “@Aritro4 @ColorsTV @iAmVJAndy @IGTonColors @bharti_lalli @karanjohar true we r not exicted to see andy..........”

Well, Andy’s real name is Anand Vijay Kumar. He is a British Indian and was born in Berkshire.

This is the fifth season of ‘India’s Got Talent’. It is a part of the global British ‘Got Talent’. The first episode of this show was aired in 2009.  The judges of the show for this season are Kirron Kher, Karan Johar and Malaika Arora Khan. Kirron Kher has been the judge for all the five seasons till now.
