Vivek Oberoi’s tweets on ex-Aishwarya goes viral, legal notice send


Vivek Oberoi might not have posted Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s meme in a bad sense but many did not take it in good taste and national commission for woman has sent legal notice to the actor for posting such derogatory tweet.

Vivek Oberoi compared his life, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan’s life to the exit poll. He compared Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan’s picture with opinion poll, his picture with Aishwarya with exit poll and the final result picture showed happy life with Ash, Abhishek and Aaradhya.

The notice reads, “The National Commission for Women has come across several media reports on 20th May, 2019, wherein it is reported that you have made insulting and misogynistic post of twitter carrying a picture of a minor girl and a woman. It has been reported that you had drawn a sly comparison between the poll result and woman’s personal life.”

The notice further asked the actor to provide a satisfactory explanation to NCW. It states, “Whereas the post made is extremely offensive, unethical and shows disrespect towards the dignity and respect of women in general. In view of the above, you are hereby required to provide a satisfactory explanation to the Commission on the matter on receipt of this notice.”

Before sending the notice, the National Commission For Women tweeted about the same and wrote, “This tweet is absolutely Disgusting, distasteful, and degrading a women.  @NCWIndia  will be serving notice to @vivekoberoi”

While Sonam Ahuja and director Madhur Bhandarkar highly slammed the 'Saathiya' actor. Sonam called his tweet, “disgusting and classless”, Madhur wrote, “Dear @vivekoberoi, never expected such tweet from u. The trolls may go to any extent and make memes but u as a responsible celebrity should be careful of hurting anyone's dignity. Would request u to apologize and delete the tweet.”
