Vivek Oberoi to play PM Narendra Modi in biopic, poster out on Jan 7

It is finally confirmed that Vivek Oberoi will enact the role of honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a major biopic. The film will be helmed by director Omung Kumar and the first poster of the film will be out on January 7, 2019.

With PM Modi’s biopic, Vivek Oberoi will be returning to the silver screen after a hiatus.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh, tweeted about the movie. Adarsh wrote, "IT'S OFFICIAL... Vivekanand Oberoi (Vivek Oberoi) to star in Narendra Modi biopic, titled #PMNarendraModi... Directed by Omung Kumar... Produced by Sandip Ssingh... First look poster will be launched on 7 Jan 2019... Filming starts mid-Jan 2019.''

The poster of the film will reportedly be unveiled in 23 different languages and will be unveiled by Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis. 

"Sandip Ssingh (producer) and Vivek came up with the idea of roping in the CM for the unveiling. When the makers approached him, he readily agreed. The event is scheduled to take place at the Garware Club House in South Mumbai. Apart from Vivek's look, makers are also expected to announce the release date of the film," a source from the production said.

"The team acquired the necessary permissions to go forth with the film only a few weeks ago. Vivek has been working on his distinct looks, and will be part of extensive workshops. A big chunk of the film will be shot in Gujarat, apart from other states”, the source added.

Veteran actor Paresh Rawal was initially roped in to play the role of our PM, but the actor backed out later due to some unknown reasons.

The biopic on the life of Narendra Modi has been in work for three-four years. The shooting will start from mid-January 2019.
