Vivek Oberoi gets pricey, raises his fee

Vivek Oberoi made a successful entry in bollywood with Company and Saathiya, however after that things went downhill for the actor. After Vivek picked a bone with top actor Salman Khan, the actor’s professional life seemed to have gone for a toss. All his films were a flop, however recently lady luck turned on him and his recent film Shootout At Lokhandwala was a hit and also fetched him accolades for his role of a gangster in the film. Unfortunately though once more the success seems to have gone to Vivek’s head and it seems the actor has developed a pricey attitude. The actor had committed to doing an event for a multinational company prior to his release but he later postponed it as he was busy with promotional activities for his film. Now after Vivek kept the organizers of the event waiting on hold, Vivek has suddenly decided that he wants a larger fee due to his sudden box-office success.
According to sources Vivek Oberoi had agreed to do a promotional event for the product for Rs. 5 lakhs earlier prior to the success of Shootout At Lokhandwala. Then he got busy with his film and asked the organizers to postpone the event for after the film. The organizers were kind enough to oblige Vivek and postponed the event to after the release of his film. However after the successful response at the box-office to Shootout At Lokhandwala, Vivek changed his attitude and felt that he could now ask for a higher fee, his earlier commitment not withstanding. At first Vivek sought to avoiding the organizers of the event and later when the organizers were able to get in touch with Vivek’s dad Suresh Oberoi, they learnt that the actor now wanted a higher fee of Rs. 21 lakhs to do the event. The organizers decided to go to another celebrity for the promotional event. much for Vivek being professional. Also Vivek surely you are aware that it only takes a film to make or break you in bollywood and hence one should not let success go to one’s head. After all along with this one recent hit, there were also a spate of flops earlier right!
