‘Vishwaroopam II’ first look: Kamal Haasan pledges on the Tricolour

Tamil actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan on Tuesday released the first look poster of his multilingual film 'Vishwaroopam II' on his Twitter timeline. The film is the sequel to his 2013 spy thriller ‘Vishwaroopam’ that stirred a lot of controversies.

"With love my country and its people,” Kamal Hassan wrote along with the first look image.

In the poster Haasan appears in a bright blue suit against the backdrop of India Gate. His expression is pensive and his face is bandaged on the chin and near the left eye. But the most strike thing is the National Flag fluttering across his chest with his hand on it.

A release date for the movie has not been finalised yet, but it is targeting this year. ‘Targetting release 2017’, reads the poster.

Haasan will be reprising his role of Research & Analysis Wing agent Major Wisam Ahmad Kashmiri from the first part. Other actors like Rahul Bose, Andrea Jeremiah and Pooja Kumar from the first part will also feature in ‘Vishwaroopam II’, while veteran actress Waheeda Rahman is a new addition.

‘Vishwaroopam II’ will also take on terrorism just like its predecessor. While the 2013 movie was set in the US, the sequel will be shot in India as well as several international locations.

Kamal Haasan has himself written and directed the movie and is producing it under his banner Raajkamal Films International.
