Vikram’s daughter Akshita weds Karunanidhi's great grandson


On Monday, southern star Vikram’s daughter Akshita tied the knot with DMK chief M Karunanidhi's great grandson Manu Ranjith. The wedding ceremony took place at Karunanidhi's Chennai residence with attendance of only close family members and friends but a grand wedding reception is schedule to take place on October 31st

The wedding was attended by Karunanidhi's family such as Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozhi, former Union Minister and elder son Alagiri, his son Dhaya Alagiri, former Union Minister Dayanidhi Maran and lyricist Vairamuthu.

The bride and the groom seeks the blessings of the 94-year-old leader. The picture was shared by trade analyst Ramesh Bala. He wrote, "Actor #ChiyaanVikram 's daughter got married this morning.. In the presence of TN Ex-CM 's @kalaignar89 Ayya.. Best wishes."

Akshita looked stunning in a green and pink combination saree with matching ornaments while Manu was dressed in white dhodi and kurta.

"The ceremony was held at former Tamil Nadu chief minister and DMK patriarch Karunanidhi's residence located in Gopalapuram, Chennai. The families of the couple have decided to throw a lavish wedding reception on Tuesday, October 31, at Mayor Ramanathan Hall, MRC Nagar," reports International Business Times.

Apart from daughter Akshita, Vikram and his wife Shailaja Balakrishnan, who is a psychology teacher at a leading school in Chennai also has a son named Dhruv. He reportedly wants to make a career in acting.
