Vidya Balan bags National Award for 'The Dirty Picture'

Vidya Balan is on cloud nine. She received the best actress national award for her bold role in ‘The Dirty Picture’. She played southern siren Silk in the movie. Dressed in pink kanjeevaram and with diamond chandelier earrings, she looked gorgeous.

She collected the award from Honourable. When the award was announced in March, Vidya then said, “I have given my hundred percent and have garnered loads of appreciation from my audience, which actually is my award. But, it really is a sense of pride, when one wins National award.”

The National Award is sually given by the honorable president every year but due to president Pratibha Patil’s foreign trip, Vice President M Hamid Ansari handed over the award to all the winners.
