Vidya Balan and Sujoy Ghosh patch up; will work together again

Vidya Balan and Sujoy Ghosh who made the critically acclaimed film ‘Kahaani’ in 2012 have ended their year-long tiff and will be working together once again for the latter’s project ‘Durga Rani Singh’.

The actress and the filmmaker were not on good terms for a year after Vidya opted out of his biopic ‘Durga Rani Singh’ citing health issues. The duo have reportedly patched up and discussed film projects together.

“Vidya and Sujoy recently met and the two sorted out their differences. Sujoy then offered ‘Durga Rani’ to her again, and she agreed to do the biopic.  It wasn’t too difficult a decision for Vids because she’d already okayed the script before opting out citing health reasons. Now she’s completely fine and is looking forward to teaming up with her Kahaani director,” DNA quoted a source close to the actress as saying.

According to reports, the two came across each other at a coffee shop. Vidya approached him and the two buried their differences and got talking. Vidya showed her interest in Sujoy’s upcoming production ‘TE3N’ who later arranged for a meeting between Vidya and ‘TE3N’ director Ribhu Dasgupta.

Vidya  will also make a special appearance in ‘TE3N’ starring Amitabh Bachchan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, which is likely to begin shooting from next month in Kolkata.

Meanwhile, Sujoy had approached many other actresses, including Kangana Ranaut and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for ‘Durga Rani Singh’, after Vidya opted out. Earlier this month, there were reports that the ‘Jazbaa’ actress was likely to be cast for the biopic.
