US envoy says sorry to SRK for detention, the actor replies

Superstar Shahrukh Khan has been detained yet again at the US airport and the actor tweeted about it in his micro-blogging site. No sooner, it was read for the social media users in the morning, hundreds of Twitter reactions started to pour in. Third time in seven years, Shahrukh has been detained at a US airport by the immigration officials.

The 50-year-old expressed his ugly experience after he was detained at the Los Angeles airport.

US envoy to India, Richard Verma and assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia in the US Department of State Nisha Desai Biswal on Friday offered apology to King Khan for the trouble he faced.

"Sorry for the hassle at the airport, @iamsrk - even American diplomats get pulled for extra screening!," Nisha Biswal, Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, US Department of State said in a tweet.

US Ambassador to India Richard Verma also tweeted an apology to Khan, for the trouble he faced at the airport.

"Sorry for the trouble at LAX @iamsrk. We are working to ensure it doesn’t happen again. Your work inspires millions, including in the US," Verma said

In response to the apology, the actor tweeted: No trouble sir, respect the protocol & not expecting 2 b above it. It’s just a tad inconvenient. Thx for ur concern. …
