Urvashi Rautela’s fake Aadhaar card used for hotel booking

Television actress Urvashi Rautela has been named in the fake Aadhaar card case. An unidentified person checked in a hotel in Mumbai in the name of Urvashi. The person used Urvashi’s Aadhaar card to book a room at a Bandra five-star hotel.

The incident came into forefront when on Tuesday night the actress went to the hotel for an event. During the event, she was informed by a hotel staff that a room was booked in her name. She was shocked to learn that a suite was booked in her name. The actress checked with her secretary Kapil Mishra, he also denied making any booking in the hotel.

Urvashi Rautela found that a forged Aadhaar card in her name was used to make the booking.

During investigation, the cops found that the suite had been booked on the same day by another small time actress who used the room for two hours and then checked out on March 27.

When inquired, Urvashi was informed that the booking was made through an application and a scanned copy of her Aadhaar card was provided.

"We are trying to trace the actress but she has switched off her mobile phone and is not present at her residence. She also had used the same suite and had booked it online through an application. We suspect that she could shed some more light into the case but she has been untraceable throughout the day. We expect that we are close to solving the case and the accused will be nabbed soon," said Senior Police Inspector Pandit Thackeray from Bandra police station.

The actress, who used Rautela’s fake Aadhaar card, is a small-time television actress and resides in the western suburbs.

The actress is on run. She was not found in her residence and also unavailable in phone.
