Urmila Matondkar and Ram Gopal Varma back together

The making of Ram Gopal Varma’s remake of the greatest movie in the history of Indian cinema, Sholay is in full swing. Here’s the latest development. Urmila Matondkar and Ramu are all set to come back for Ram Gopal Varma ki Sholay.
No, she is not playing the bubbly Basanti or the simple Radha, Urmila is signed to play Helen and perform the electrifying track, ‘Mehbooba Mehbooba’ an R. D. Burman composition from the blockbuster Sholay.
Urmila is to dance on the remixed version of the number, which will be composed specifically for Ramu’s Sholay.

When asked Ramu about his choice for Helen’s role, he said, “This being the key song in the film, I couldn't have settled for someone else. Urmila is a great dancer, oomphy and with perfect sex appeal. Who else could fit the bill for this sensuous yet classy cabaret number? She's the ideal choice.”

Urmila, being a Helen fan, is thrilled to have been offered the role. “It's a rocking number on its own. Nobody can match Helen's skills as a dancer. But I just hope that with my inputs I make it more rocking. I will try and give it something which will appeal to everyone.”

Now let’s wait and find out who lands in the role of Jalal Agha, the male performer in the song.
