Upasana Singh aka ‘Bua’ of ‘Comedy Nights’ quits the show

Actress Upasana Singh became a household name with Kapil Sharma’s erstwhile show ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ with her comic role as the spinster ‘Bua’. However, when Kapil moved his show with the entire team to another channel, Upasana stayed back and joined Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh in their show ‘Comedy Nights Live’.

But now, the comedienne has quit ‘Comedy Nights Live’. Talking to a leading publication, Upasana said, “Yes, I have quit the show. I am not shooting for it since last two weeks and don’t wish to go back to ‘Comedy Nights Live’.” She refused to divulge any more details regarding her decision to walk out of the show, but said she might address a press conference next week to talk about it. “All I can say at the moment is that few things were not happening right and it will be sorted by Monday,” she added.

However, regarding joining ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ on Sony TV, Upasansa has put forth a condition. "If something concrete and meaty is offered to me from Kapil's side, I will definitely do it. I don't want to do a cameo just for the heck of it," she said.

Upasana added, “I have always had a good rapport with Kapil Sharma. I had an amazing time working with them. I became popular as Bua because of Comedy Nights with Kapil. My character on CNWK gave me work satisfaction. Now, I am in such a position that I don't have to prove myself to anyone. I just want to do stuff that gives me work satisfaction."

The actress is currently seen on &TV show ‘Santoshi Maa’.
