Underprivileged children get to see Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal with John Abraham

Purple Ribbon, the social cause initiative from FAME Multiplexes in collaboration with UTV, hosted a fun-filled afternoon for the underprivileged children of 'Make a Wish Foundation' at FAME Adlabs on November 23 2007. A special screening of the movie 'Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal' with the ever so hot bollywood sensation John Abraham was organized by Fame for these children thus giving them a reason to smile.
The highlights of the afternoon included a special screening of the much-awaited movie- 'Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal' and a surprise interactive session of the children from Make a Wish Foundation with the hot and handsome John Abraham.
During the screening, one couldn't help but notice the excitement in the eyes of the children who simply love and adore John. The children seemed to have enjoyed the movie thoroughly. After the movie the children interacted with John on a one on one basis and shared special moments as pictures and autographs were taken. John was also seen enjoying the company of the kids and making the afternoon one of the most memorable ones for them.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Abhishek Raina, Marketing head, Shringar Cinemas Limited, said, "We are grateful to John & UTV, for taking the initiative for hosting this event with us at Fame. We started Purple Ribbon with the sole intention to bring the magic of cinema into the lives of the underprivileged. We hope to make a little difference in their lives and create memories that they will cherish for a lifetime."

Purple Ribbon, the social cause initiative of Shringar Cinemas, is conducted in collaboration with various NGO`s throughout the year. Purple Ribbon addresses social issues by organizing special movie screenings, opportunities to 'meet and greet' with the stars, raising funds for charity through special premieres, and much more. In the past, Shringar Cinemas has hosted such initiatives with Saif Ali Khan, Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Suri, Anil Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Riteish Deshmukh, Dia Mirza Rahul Bose, Sameera Reddy, Priyanka Chopra, Sajid Khan …to name a few.
