Twinkle Khanna’s columns ‘Mrs Funnybones’ turned into a book

Actress-turned-entrepreneur Twinkle Khanna is ready with her first book ‘Mrs Funnybones’. The 248-page paper-back has been published by Penguin Books India and will be unveiled on August 18.

Twinkle’s husband Akshay Kumar is proud of his wife and will be attending the launch of the book. Akshay said, “I have never read a book, except for Balbharati (textbook) in school. I read scripts, but Twinkle’s is the first book I’ll ever read.”

The book is a compilation of the actress’ satirical columns she had written over the last two years. Her writings with her signature humour and wit were the observations of ‘Mrs Funnybones’ on the life of the modern Indian women. Twinkle has been a regular contributor of The Times of India and DNA After Hrs.

When Akshay was asked if he read his wife’s columns regularly, he said, “I am always the first one to read whatever she writes. And I approve it before it gets printed. Seriously speaking, I do so because I don’t want any cases or any trouble for her.”

“She comments on various things from politics to religion and she doesn’t mince her words. I am more diplomatic than her.  I would still call things grey, but she is an absolutely black-and-white person. That’s what I love about her. I can’t be that and I envy her for it,” he told DNA.

Earlier, Twinkle had tweeted about her new book with an image of it. “Finally my rickshaw has arrived-book cover and pre-order link http://bit.ly/mrsfunnybones  #mrsfunnybones," she wrote.
