Twinkle Khanna returns to films with her own production house

Former actress-turned-entrepreneur-cum-writer, Twinkle Khanna is returning to Bollywood once again, and has come up with her own production house named Mrs Funnybones Movies.

Twinkle, daughter of late Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia, quit acting after 2001 film ‘Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega’. She then co-produced a few films like ‘Tees Maar Khan’, 'Thank You', 'Patiala House', ‘Khiladi 786’, and 'Holiday: A Soldier is Never Off Duty' starring her husband Akshay Kumar. Thereafter, she ventured to writing for newspapers under the columns Mrs Funnybones, and has already released two books.

Now, she is set to launch her production banner Mrs Funnybones Movies and mark its debut with Akshay’s next project with R.Balki, which also stars Sonam Kapoor, Radhika Apte and Amitabh Bachchan in a special role.

A popular publication quoted a source as saying, “It's Twinkle's concept that will be entirely developed by Balki who is writing the script, screenplay and dialogues. Twinkle will not be involved in the writing process. The film goes on the floors in March next year. There are two kinds of slates being planned for Mrs Funnybones Movies for 2017 one for mainstream films and the second for off-beat fare. All the films will be presented by Twinkle.”

With this, the multitalented personality is set to begin another innings to her entrepreneurial career. She already runs an interior design store named The White Window.
