Twinkle Khanna and Chetan Bhagat's Twitter war goes viral

Chetan Bhagat seems to be getting embroiled in controversies after controversies. The recent controversy albeit lighter than the former ones, involves Akshay Kumar’s wife Twinkle Khanna and the war of words between the two celebrities on Twitter.

Twinkle Khanna, who has recently veered towards writing on Twitter, has emerged as one of the most active members of the micro-blogging site of Twitter. Recently a user who follows the beautiful actress on Twitter lauded her writing potential.

"You are an amazing writer, you don't need to change your name to Chetali Bhagat." is what the user tweeted.

The compliment however meant for the actress, camouflaged a barb and mockery pointed at the well-known author who recently got sucked into a massive controversy pertaining to his recent book entitled ‘Half Girlfriend’.

The actress responded to this compliment.

“I do!He gets to judge NachBaliye and i get to judge if that gross thing on my floor is dog puke or poop” she posted on her twitter handle.

This reaction from the actress immediately caught the attention of the author himself who is judging a reality dance show called ‘Nach Baliye’ on television.

“well, i'd say u have the bigger challenge girl..btw, how do u tell the difference between the two anyway?” the author posted.

The war of words was not to stop. Twinkle posted further.

“it's a short life-if lucky enough 2 get opportunities to do diverse things then one should @chetan_bhagat write a bestseller abt it too :)” the actress tweeted.

Bhagat too went ahead with his barb, this time making insinuations on the actress’s flop films.

“u nailed it..it is YOLO..nobody offered me barsaat, or baadshah..else u know..”

The witty exchange of words at the end took an interesting turn as and when the actress commented on Bhagat’s appearance.

“Ok seriously guys, was just a fun banter with @mrsfunnybones She is fun and has a sense of humour in her tweets. Silly to read more into it.” - thus putting an end to the exchange of words and not adding more spice to it from his end.

The author is already facing a defamation suit of Rs. 1 crore. The suit has been brought forth by royal family of erstwhile princely state of Dumraon in Bihar alleging that Bhagat in his new novel ‘Half Girlfriend’ represented the male members of the royal family in a derogatory manner.
