Noted TV actor Mohan Bhandari passes away


Noted television actor Mohan Bhandari died after battling brain tumour for few years. He breathed his last on Thursday evening. After suffering brain hemorrhage years back, he was battling with the illness.

He was a popular face in Indian television and appeared in several other serials including ‘Khaandaan’ on DD, ‘Karz’, ‘Parampara’, ‘Jeevan Mrityu’, ‘Pathjhad’, ‘Gumraah’ and ‘Mile Sur Mera Tumhara’.

He was also seen in the Bollywood blockbuster ‘Mangal Pandey-The Rising’ starring Aamir Khan and Rani Mukherjee.

His son Dhruv Bhandari who is also an actor and acted in soap ‘Tere Shehar Mein’ had told the media about his dad’s illness few months ago.

In professional life, Mohan Bhandari had gone through many ups and downs in his life.  He was one of the busiest TV actors during the 80s. However, he completely vanished in late 90s and made comeback with a popular TV show ‘Saat Phere’, playing the father of a female protagonist.

Mohan Bhandari's last rites has been performed today.
