Tubelight: Sohail Khan puts up a brave front as a soldier in new stills

The trailer of Salman Khan’s much awaited film ‘Tubelight’ will be launched tonight at around 9 pm ad fans have been crazily waiting for the moment. Ahead of the trailer launch, two new stills from the war drama featuring Salman’s brother Sohail Khan have surfaced.

Sohail plays a pivotal part in the film and the stills show him as a brave soldier advancing towards the enemy in an uneven terrain during war-ravaged times. His fellow soldiers are also in the frame and all of them have a rugged and dusty look.

The official Twitter handle of ‘Tubelight’ shared the stills, along with the link to a news item on it. “Some adrenaline-pumping action sequences await all of you in the #TubelightTrailer!” the caption with the stills read.

‘Tubelight’ is set against the backdrop Sino-Indian War of 1962, which brings together Salman and Sohail on screen after a long gap and both of them play brothers in reel as well. Salman and Sohail have previously worked in films like ‘Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?’, ‘Main Aurr Mrs Khanna’, ‘God Tussi Great Ho’, ‘Veer’ etc.

Director Kabir Khan has shot the war sequences in Ladakh and the high altitude, severe cold and rocky terrain was a challenge for the film’s team. The movie was also shot in Himachal Pradesh’s and Manali and in Mumbai as well. Hollywood action director Glenn Boswell, known for his work in films like ‘Titanic’, ‘The Matrix’ and ‘The Hobbit’ series, was specially roped in to choreograph the war scenes.

‘Tubelight’ also stars Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and child artiste Matin Rey Tangu. Late actor Om Puri who passed away earlier this year, is also a part of the cast, while Shah Rukh Khan makes a special appearance as a magician.

‘Tubelight’ is slated to release on June 23 ahead of Eid.
