Tubelight: Salman’s ‘Radio Song’ crosses 6.5 million views in less than 20 hours

Salman Khan-starrer ‘Tubelight’ is one of the most highly anticipated movies of the year. The first song of the movie titled ‘Radio Song’ was unveiled on Tuesday evening in Dubai, where the superstar is shooting for ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.

The song was launched amidst fanfare by Salman in presence of director Kabir Khan, Sohail Khan and others, at around 9.30 pm IST. Such is the fandom of the ‘Sultan’ actor that the song has crossed 6.5 million views and is nearing seven million on YouTube in less than 20 hours.

Salman has been updating about the song’s launch on his Twitter timeline and has also shared it after it was launched. “#Radio Bajaiyyo Bajaiyyo zara! Ab bas #RadioSong bajega!” the actor tweeted with the YouTube link of the song.

It is a celebratory song and is a peppy track that will make one start dancing, or at least tapping the feet, with the infectious beats. Kamaal Khan and Amit Mishra have lent their vocals to the song while Pritam’s company JAM 8 has composed the music. Amitabh Bhattacharya has penned the lyrics.

The video is also lovely as an innocent-looking Salman excitedly dances with the people of his town to celebrate the ‘khushkhabri’ that the war is over and the place is also decorated with lights.

‘Tubelight’ is set in the backdrop of Indo-Chinese War of 1962 and Sohail Khan as a soldier and brother of Laxman, Salman’s character. It also stars Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and child artiste Matin Rey Tangu. Late actor Om Puri who passed away earlier this year, is also a part of the cast, while Shah Rukh Khan makes a special appearance as a magician.

‘Tubelight’ is slated to release on June 23 ahead of Eid.
