‘Tubelight’ new stills: Salman Khan looks innocent and anxious

Salman Khan-starrer ‘Tubelight’ will hit screens on the occasion of Eid in June, and fans of the superstar are eagerly waiting for the day. To satiate the frenzy around the movie a bit, the makers have unveiled two new stills featuring the actor.

The first still has Salman in what looks like an army base, saluting a soldier standing in front of him with a smile. He appears very innocent in it. The actor’s look is same as that in the poster released earlier. Salman is wearing a checked shirt with full sleeves and a brown half-sweater. His boots are hung around his shoulders.

The other still has Salman sitting at a table with a worried and sad expression. He is dressed in a maroon shirt and algae-green half-sweater. The setting is old-world with a kerosene lamp kept at the wooden table, along with a typewriter, an ink-pot and a few books.

Director Kabir Khan has earlier announced that the first teaser of the film will be out in the first week of May.

‘Tubelight’ marks the third collaboration between Salman and Kabir after their blockbusters ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. The movie is set in the backdrop of India-China War of 1962 and also stars Chinese actress Zhu Zhu. Reportedly, Salman will be seen in the role of a person with special needs. The film will also have a special appearance of Salman’s friend-turned-foe-turned-friend Shah Rukh Khan. The duo will be seen in the same film after 15 years. Their last outing together was ‘Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam’ in 2002.

According to reports, ‘Tubelight’ has already broken two records even before its release. The distribution rights of the movie have been sold at a whopping Rs 132 crore – the highest for a Bollywood movie until now. Also, the film’s music rights have been sold for Rs 20 crore to Sony Music, another first for a Hindi movie.

‘Tubelight’ is scheduled to release on June 23.
