Trisha breaks up with Varun Manian, tweets happy and single

South sensation Trisha Krishnan confirmed that she is single and her engagement with entrepreneur Varun Manian has been called off.

"Amused by d hazaar speculations doin d rounds. Let it rest people. Happy, single n thankful (sic)," Trisha tweeted last night confirming her break off with boyfriend Varun Manian.

The couple was engaged on January 23 and marriage was on the cards. What went wrong between them is not yet known but they started to show off separately for the past few months. They were not seen together at events.

It is heard that rift in their relationship cropped up after Varun planned for a vacation with his parents. His message on the microblogging site dated April 8 read, “Pre-wedding jitters? No better friend than a sister?” raises eyebrows though there has been no any official confirmation about their separation.

The actress also didn't attend a family function at Varun Manian's house despite being in Chennai. Trisha also walked out of Varun’s production to star opposite Jai.

While Varun is still nursing his broken heart, Trisha seems to have moved on very fast. The actress is busy partying with friends and totally engrossed on her career. She has few promising projects lined up with Kamal Haasan, Telugu superstar Balakrishna and Tamil actor Jayam Ravi.

Trisha, who earlier dated Rana Daggubati signed Tamil flick Aranmanai-2, to be directed by Sunder C.
