Trailer: Honey Singh & Himesh Reshammiya in ‘The Xpose’

The trailer of the much awaited film ‘The Xpose’ is out, where Bollywood singer and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh makes his acting debut. A sneak peek into ‘The Xpose’ tells viewers that it is a film set in the 1960’s and that it is a murder mystery.

The movie essays the tale of two superstars played by Himesh Reshammiya and Honey Singh after they get involved in the murder investigation of a sensational star.

‘The Xpose’ trailer begins with an amusing Sonali Raut offering prayers at a temple and soon viewers are hit with the glamour of the ’60’s Bollywood!

It practically shows everything the movie has on offer from Honey Singh’s ’60s rap song to a slim and trim Himesh —just that, the ’60’s did not have rap music!

It shows the mysterious death of an actor who was a sex symbol. Himesh is the cop turned star and Honey Singh plays the bad guy. Irrfan Khan has a special appearance in the film. The movie is produced by Vipin Reshammiya and directed by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan.

Besides Himesh, Honey Singh and some brief appearances by Irrfan Khan, the film has Zoya Afroz, Sonali Raut and Adil Hussain.

Himesh Reshammiya has done the music of the film.

The movie is slated to release on May 23, 2014.

Himesh’s big break came through when Salman Khan gave him the chance to become a music director for the movie ‘Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya’ with such composers as Jatin Lalit and Sajid-Wajid. After the success of the music of ‘Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya’, Salman and Himesh have shared a number of hit movie albums together, such as ‘Yeh Hai Jalwa’, and ‘Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge’.

The music director-turned actor had his first success as a music director of the film ‘Tere Naam’ in 2003.

He won the Filmfare Best Male Playback Award for ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’ in 2006 and also received a few nominations for his music direction. He has received the Phalke Best Supporting Actor Award for ‘Khiladi 786’ at 13th Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards.
Honey Singh started as a session and recording artist and then a Bhangra producer. He has also started producing music for Bollywood films.

The singer has received the ETC award for the Best sound for his song ‘Glassi’ in 2006 and the PTC award for the Best Folk Pop Award for ‘Rebirth’ in 2009 and PTC Punjab Best Music Director in 2011.
