John Prakasa Rao Janumala better known as Johny Lever of Andhra Pradesh has about 350 films to his credit. A stage performer of “Hope 86” rocked the Hindi film industry with his performances. An inspiration for comedians he has at times been called the ‘King’ of comedies. The Dard Ka Rishta man got recognized in Baazigar. He is remembered for his dialogues in Abba Dabba Jabba. He is the President of the Cine and TV Artist Association and the Mimicry Artist Association Mumbai. This multi tasking comedian has won Awards for film like Deewana Mastana, Dulhe Raja, Raja Hindustani and Love Ke Liye Kuchh Bhi Karega
3. Govinda
Govind Arun Ahuja, better known as Govinda was the winner of the online vote on BBC News as the tenth greatest star of the last 10decades in June 1999. From Ilzaam he started his journey in the film industry. With David Dhawan he made many comedy films. He has received the award for Haseena Maan Jaayegi as the best comedian. He has given memorable performances in films like Dulhe Raja, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Saajan Chale Sasrul to Haseena Maan Jaayegi. He received the Best Comedian IIFA Award in 2002. He became a member of parliament but came back to films to entertain the audience especially with his comedies.
4. Arshad Warsi
Circuit is the name, Arshad Warsi is more famously known. It has its route in Munnabhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munnabhai. The Actor started his film career in Amitabh Bachchans ABCL company and went on to become an actor of the Big and Small screen. This multi tasking personality has been a producer and playback singer too. However the world knows him as a comedian. He has won the best Comedian Award for films like Hulchal from GIFA. Zee cine and Filmfare recognized his talent in Lage Raho Munna Bhai and awarded him the Best Actor in a comic role.
5. Rajpal Yadav
Rajpa Yadav a product of the National School of Drama came to fame with the small screen Mungerilal ke Haseen Sapne. He was discovered by Ram Gopal Varma and became an actor. However negative roles did not attract him and the comedian went on to make films like Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Hungama, Waqt, to Phir Hera Pheri and Dhol.
