Too close, too cozy: Aditya, Sharddha in ‘Ok Jaanu’ new still

A brand new still from the much awaited film, ‘OK Jannu’ which is Hindi remake of South blockbuster ‘Ok Kanmani’ was doing round the net and it shows Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur getting too close and cosy.  After ‘Aashiqui 2’ the rumoured real life couple teamed up for the second time for ‘OK Jaanu’.

‘OK Jaanu’ is a romantic drama being directed by Shaad Ali produced under Dharma Productions. Double Oscar winning composer A.R. Rahman will give the music while renowned lyricist Gulzar will pen the songs.

“Aditya Roy Kapur, Shraddha Kapoor, Mani Ratnam, Gulzar, A.R. Rahman, directed by Shaad Ali. And it’s ‘OK Jaanu’,” Karan tweeted along with the image.

The film is a remake of Mani Ratnam’s 2015 Tamil blockbuster ‘O Kadhal Kanmani’ which starred Dulquer Salman and Nithya Menen in the lead roles. The film was a fresh take on modern day relationships and portrayed a couple in a live-in relationship in Mumbai.

Prakash Raj who played the landlord in the Tamil original is said to reprise his role in the Hindi remake. The film’s cinematographer PC Sreeram, who recently filmed R Balki's rom-com 'Ki and Ka' starring Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor, will man the camera. The Hindi screenplay is being co-written by Mani Ratnam and Shaad Ali.

Aditya and Shraddha will shoot an intense love-making scene for their upcoming film, 'Ok Jaanu'. “It is the moment of reckoning, so to speak,” reveals a source close to the project. “Aditya and Shraddha would have to get very comfortable with one another for this particular love-making scene.”

‘Ok Jaanu’ will hit the theatres on January 13, 2017.
