Tigmanshu’s ‘Milan Talkies’ to be presented with fresh title

Filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia’s film ‘Milan Talkies’ which was put on hold due to casting issues, will be presented with a new title and fresh cast, while retaining original choice Imran Khan as the lead actor.

The film to be produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji motion pictures had undergone several changes in its casting after Imran Khan opted out of the project following differences with the producer after the release of ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara’. However, both of them patched up later.

The makers of ‘Milan Talkies’ have thought upon a new title for the film – ‘Bhoole Se Naam Na Lo Pyaar Ka’. “We have decided to re-imagine 'Milan Talkies'. We are making it with Tigmanshu Dhulia and the film will go on floors later this year. We are in the process of finalising the star cast,” sources from the film’s unit revealed.

The film is on hold for the time being as director Tigmanshu and the production house are working on another film at the moment. ‘Milan Talkies’ with the fresh title of ‘Bhoole Se Naam Na Lo Pyaar Ka’ is in the pre-production stage and will begin filming this year, sources added.

The project was scheduled to be released in 2014, but suffered delay reportedly due to casting issues and unavailability of actors who were being considered for the film. Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra were reportedly cast but it did not materialise. Thereafter, ‘Ashiqui 2’ stars Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor were roped in, but both of them dropped out of the project.

However, Tigmanshu denied the buzz and the production house refused to comment on anything officially.
