Tiger’s ‘Munna Michael’ is Shroffs’ family project; here’s how
Tiger Shroff is currently shooting for his film ‘Munna Michael’. It was earlier reported that Tiger’s sister Krishna is making her Bollywood debut with the film as its first assistant director. Now fresh reports suggest that their mother, Ayesha Shorff, is co-producing the film.
‘Munna Michael’ is quite a family project for the Shroffs!
According to a report in DNA, director Sabbir Khan approached Ayesha with the project a few months ago, and she loved it so much that she put her money on it. However, it was all kept under wraps, as the star mom hasn’t had very good experiences as a producer in the past. As such, this time she’s decided to take a backseat and let the other co-producers enjoy the limelight.
Ayesha has previously produced films like ‘Boom’, ‘Grahan’ and ‘Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai’ among others.
‘Munna Michael’ brings back together the hit pair of Tiger and director Sabbir Khan for the third time. The duo had previously delivered hits films ‘Heropanti’ and ‘Baaghi’. The film will have Tiger play the title role of Munna, a slum boy, who idolises the legendary singer-dancer, late Michael Jackson. Newcomer Nidhi Agerwal has been cast opposite Tiger. The film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
The first look of the film, which had Tiger striking the famous dance pose of King of Pop, late Michael Jackson, was released a few months ago, and the movie is slated to release on July 7.
