‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ going off-air, Kiku Sharda opens up

With falling TRP, gossip mills churned that Sony’s popular comedy show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ hosted by the noted comedian Kapil Sharma is going off-air. Not only the declining television rating is the reason for the show to go-air but it is said that Kapil’s ill-health and frequent cancellation of the show affected the show’s popularity.

Due to hectic shooting schedule, Kapil Sharma fainted thrice on the set and he had to rush to the hospital. Following which he had to cancel the shoots with the team of ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ and then ‘Mubarakan’. All negative inputs added fuel to the report that the show will be taken off.

Kiku Sharda aka Bumper, however, totally rubbished the report and maintained that the show is going very strong and they will continue to shoot for the coming episodes. Kiku Sharda said, “Kapil’s absence due to his ill-health has fanned stupid speculations. I don’t want to comment and fan all this further. We have started shooting for the coming weekend.”

It is also said that due to falling TRP, the channel is not going to extend their contract with the show. Kapil is said to have went into depression due to al those factors. When asked Kiku retorted, “Total rubbish, people are saying anything they feel like.”

It is further said that Kapil is feeling the heat of his rival show ‘The Drama Company’ launched on the same channel and hosted by Kapil’s arch-rival Krushna Abhishek.
