Filmfare, Star Guild, Star Dust and the likes- are what Bollywood celebrities eagerly wait for. Ghanta Awards is probably the last thing they want to happen! Ghanta Awards is back to honor the film industry figures who did their worst last year and the nominations have already been disclosed. The 8th of March will see the Ghanta Awards being presented in 13 categories. Just like the last two editions, this one too would be held in J W Marriot, Mumbai.

While 2014 has seen the best of films like ‘PK’ and ‘Queen’, there have also been films like ‘Gunday’ and ‘Humshakals’. Thanks to the wonderful work of the filmmakers, these films made it to the nomination list of Ghanta Awards! Other than ‘Humshakals’ and ‘Gunday’, Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’ too has been nominated as one of the three worst films. Salman’s magnificent fame and series of hits do not guarantee that he would always be awarded for his best of performances. His name can be seen at quite a many places in the list of nominations. He has been nominated the worst actor for not just one, but two films- ‘Kick’ and ‘Jai Ho’. Saif Ali Khan’s name has come up for the super flop ‘Humshakals’, while Ajay Devgn too made it to the list- credit goes to his wonderful acting in ‘Action Jackson’ and ‘Singham Returns’.

In the worst actress category, Sonakshi Sinha is running the race for ‘Action Jackson’ and ‘Lingaa’. Bipasha Basu has been nominated for ‘Creature 3D’, in which the creature was praised for having more personality than that of all the humans put together. Ghanta Awards didn’t spare ‘Humshakals’ in the list of worst director too, as Sajid Khan has been nominated as the worst director. He is accompanied by Kabir Sadanand for ‘Fugly’ and Sohail Khan for ‘Jai Ho’. Looks like Salman has a lot to look forward to. He is in the list of worst couple too, as Salman and Daisy Shah have been nominated as worst couple for ‘Jai Ho’. ‘Gunday’ stars Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh are also in the list.

Coming to the worst songs, Bollywood has bored us with several tracks last year. But of course some had to be worse than the others. ‘Photocopy’ of ‘Jai Ho’, ‘Callertune’ of ‘Hamshkals’ and ‘Icercream Khaungi’ of ‘The Xpose’ are in the list. Yet more categories are Shit Nobody Saw, Worst Remake, Most Controversial Controversy, WTF Was That, That’s Anything But Sexy, Worst Breakthrough Launch and Worst Case Of Miscasting.
