Tennis ace Sania Mirza turns beautician for a special fan


Tennis star Sania Mirza recently left her racquet for a beautician’s brush for the sake of a special fan, in Mumbai. Sania turned a beautician to help her fan Sonia Chaudhary who is an acid attack survivor, as a part of the reality show ‘Mission Sapne’.

The show is about celebrities taking up specific jobs for a day to raise money for a noble cause. Whatever amount a celebrity earns is then multiplied by 100 and given to the particular cause or person.

Sania decided to don the garb of a beautician to raise money for Sonia's treatment and wellbeing. Sonia who is an ardent admirer of the tennis champ runs a beauty salon at her home in Ghaziabad. She has an experience of over 15 years in the field of beauty and make-up. Battling all odds, she has continued to be an inspiration for many women who have had such terrifying experiences in their lives.

Sania made her day when she turned up for Sonia who gave beauty tips and treatments to the huge crowd of fans of the tennis star who gathered to get a touch-up at the hands of their idol.

Sania raised raised Rs 5,850, which means Sonia ultimately received Rs 5,85,000. Sonia also mentioned to Sania that she admired renowned beautician-entrepreneur Shehnaz Hussain and considered her as an idol. Sonia also said she would love to learn the art of makeup from Shehnaz Hussain.

Sania had a surprise in store for Sonia. She blindfolded Sonia, seated her in a car and took her to the residence of the pioneering beautician. Sonia was overjoyed and chatted with her two idols and also took photographs with them.
