Telugu superstar Ravi Teja's brother Bharath Raju dies in car crash


Telugu superstar Ravi Teja’s brother actor Bharath Raju died in a road accident on Saturday night. The mishap took place on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Shamshabad on Saturday night.

The 46-year-old car crashed into a lorry that was parked on outer ring road at Kotwalguda. Bharath Raju died on the spot as his speeding car collided with the lorry.

The accident happened at 10.10pm. Bharath was driving his red Skoda sedan from Shamshabad to Gachibowli.

Bharat, who acted in a few Telugu movies, was earlier arrested by Hyderabad police for possession of cocaine.

"Due to high speed collision, Bharat died on the spot. The truck broke down and it was parked on the road side," RGI Airport inspector M Mahesh said.

According to police, the truck driver did not park the truck in the proper parking area after it suffered broke down. "We will register a case against the truck driver," the inspector said.

Police was not aware about where Bharat was coming from and where he was heading. They will also examine whether Bharath Raju was under the influence of alcohol. "We will send the viscera to Forensic Science Laboratory for examination to see if the victim had consumed alcohol," the inspector said.

Bharat's brother Ragu and their actor friend Uttej rushed to the Osmania General Hospital Mortuary where the postmortem underwent. "I am not in a condition to talk," Uttej said.
