Taslima Nasreen turns down ‘Bigg Boss 8’

Controversial Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen who recently got visa extension to stay in India was approached by Bigg Boss makers but she  declined. Taslima took to twitter to announce the news, “Wants me in Bigg Boss.I politely refused.Said,`u`ll get chance2 show urslf 2world&u`ll get money`.Then I impolitely refused (sic).”

Nasreen later told Times of India, "I have seen the programme fleetingly. It is entertaining but it is definitely not within my range of interest... They proposed a big remuneration but I declined. Even they had offered me to propagate my idea of women's rights in the show, but still as it did not gel with my ethos, I am not participating in it."Taslima recently met Home Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss her Visa and stay in India. She tweeted:

Taslima informed that she met Home Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss her visa issue, “I met Honorable Home Minister Rajnath Singhji this afternoon.Gave him my book 'Wo Andhere Din'.He said,'Aapka Andhere Din Khatam Ho Jayega'

Even Justice Katju had come out in support of the author tweeting, "Taslima Nasreen was hounded by bigots for years. This nonsense was tolerated for fear of losing Muslim vote bank.Time has come to stop this".

Big Boss had also approached AAP leader Kumar Vishwas and reportedly offered him Rs 5 crores.
