Tanushree-Nana Patekar harassment case: Mumbai police summons Daisy Shah

Daisy Shah was summoned by Mumbai police in relation to Tanushree Dutta’s #MeToo allegation against Nana Patekar. Tanushree alleged that she was sexually harassed on the set of ‘Horn OK Pleassss’. Dutta accused that during the filming of the song choreographer Gamesh Acharya, film's director Rakesh Sarang and producer Samee Siddique were all present, witnessed all wrong done with her as a silent witnesses. Daisy Shah was then working as an assistant choreographer and was present on the set.

Following her allegation, Ganesh Acharya’s lawyer lawyer Padma Shelatkar sent Dutta a 12-page letter denying all allegations made by her.

"We will record statements of everyone present on the sets when the alleged incident took place. Shah has been asked to record her statement at the police station whenever she is comfortable, within a week or two," a senior officer confirmed to Mid-day.

Earlier, speaking to News18, Shah said, "I was just an assistant choreographer who knew nothing about what all was happening. I have nothing to say about it. My job over there was only to teach steps. I wasn’t the part of the internal conversation of what was happening and not happening. I was just like a random person who was shooting on that film.”

Adding more, she said, "I wasn’t only concentrating on one artiste; there were 30 other dancers on set. I wasn’t even in the position where I could even speak or I had to even notice anything because I was so busy with my own work. My all sympathies are with Tanushree but I swear I know nothing about it."

However, Nana Patekar has dismissed all the allegations against him and slapped legal notice, demanding a written apology from the actress. His lawyer Aniket Nikam told news agency ANI, "All allegations against him (Nana Patekar) are false and far from the truth".
