‘Tamasha’ trailer: Ranbir Deepika re-create their on-screen magic

Former lovers-turned-friends Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone on Tuesday (Sept 22) launched the trailer of their forthcoming film ‘Tamasha’ at a Mumbai suburban theatre. The film’s director Imtiaz Ali was also present.

Ranbir who was in London shooting for Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ flew down to the city especially for the trailer launch. This is the second film to cast the ex-flames post their break-up. They were last seen together in Ayan Mukherjee’s ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ which was a blockbuster owing to their sizzling chemistry, among other reasons.

Ever since ‘Tamasha’ was announced fans have been waiting to see that crackling on-screen chemistry between Ranbir and Deepika, and Imtiaz Ali has ensured it.

The trailer opens with the introduction of Ranbir’s character Ved who is a regular professional bound by societal conventions. Soon, far away in Corsica he meets Deepika’s ‘Mona Darling’. They decide to “speak lies and only lies” and that “what happens in Corsica, stays in Corsica,” and fall in love in the process.

From the trailer, it appears ‘Tamasha’ deals with false lies and identities. The spectacular chemistry between the lead pair cannot be missed.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is set to hit screens on November 27.
