‘Tamasha’ mints in Rs 24.04 cr in two days


Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s ‘Tamasha’ earned Rs 24.04 cr in two days. Released across 2100 screens in India and 571 screens overseas, ‘Tamasha’ opened with mixed reviews but Ranbir Kapoor  and Deepika Padukone’s performance were well appreciated.

The film collected Rs. 10.87 crore on the opening day, Friday (November 27) and witnessed a small growth of Rs. 13.17 crore on the second day (Saturday). The two days collection sum up to Rs. 24.04 crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the figures:-

‘Tamasha’ directed by Imtiaz Ali tells the story of Ved (Ranbir) and Taara (Deepika) who meet in Corsica and fall in love and then their love story witness a twist.

‘Tamasha’ might prove a turning point in Ranbir’s career basically after back-to-back flops. The film also witnessed an advance booking in many parts of the country.

Moreover, ’Tamasha’ is a well promoted film, Ranbir and Deepika left no stone unturned to promote the movie on TV shows and events. The weekend collection is awaited.
