Sunny Leone unveils her cricket team Chennai Swaggers

Bollywood actress Sunny Leone has unveiled her cricket team Chennai Swaggers on Monday, February 22. The ‘Mastizaade’ actress was accompanied by her husband Daniel Weber.

The team will play in the second season of reality show ‘Box Cricket League’ backed by producer Ekta Kapoor. Prominent television personalities feature as players in the reality show cricket tournament.

Speaking at the event, Sunny said that she has developed a passion for cricket after coming to India and hence decided to buy a cricket team of her own.

"I love sports and have been closely associated with various sports all my life. Soccer is one of my favourite sports and I played it ever since I was very little. I also played ping-pong, volleyball and basketball growing up," the Indo-Canadian actress said.

"But with cricket it is something I have grown to be passionate about. It is something I enjoy watching. People in India love cricket and I have grown fond of the game ever since I moved here," added Sunny, who officially bought the team last week.

She, however, admitted she was yet to learn the nitty-gritty of the game. "I didn't watch a lot of cricket growing up but I would hear my father talk about it. If he was alive, all this would be for him," Sunny said and added that she is a fan of Sachin Tendulkar.

Her team comprises of TV stars like Himanshoo Malhotra who is the captain, Rithvik Dhanjani, Amruta Khanvilkar, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Rajat Tokas, Soni Singh among others.

Sunny, who herself entered Bollywood through reality show ‘Bigg Boss’, said about her team for the reality show, "I hope Chennai Swaggers manage to kick butt and win some games. The plan is to win as many games as possible this season. I love being a motivator and cheering players, getting them off the ground, getting them angry to want to win, getting them hyped up!"
