Sunny Leone to play 'sanskari' girl in ‘Yaaron Ki Baaraat’

Former porn star-turned-Bollywood actress Sunny Leone who is known for her sexy image will be seen playing a ‘sanskari’ girl in an upcoming film titled ‘Yaaron Ki Baaraat’.

The sultry actress has been roped in by Vinod Bachchan who will be producing the comic caper which is reportedly a remake of Nasir Hussain’s 1973 film ‘Yaadon Ki Baarat’. The film will mark the directorial debut of Ikram Khan who has previously penned Salman Khan starrer Ready and Akshay Kumar starrer Thank You.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Sunny will be seen playing a Punjabi girl who has studied abroad. She will also be sporting traditional outfit and mouthing Punjabi dialogues.

The original film ‘Yaadon Ki Baaraat’ featured Dharmendra, Vijay Arora and Tariq Khan and was about three brothers separated by fate. Whereas, the remake will revolve around three friends.

The report further quoted a source as saying that despite Sunny’s ‘sanskari’ image in the film, she will be seen steaming up the thoughts of the three male protagonists. 

Confirming the development producer Vinod said, "Yes I have signed Sunny for ‘Yaaron Ki Baaraat’, but right now I am still to cast the three male leads for the film."

‘Yaaron Ki Baaraat’ is set to go on floors in March, next year, the producer revealed.

Meanwhile, Sunny will be next seen in sex-comedy ‘Mastizaade’ starring Tusshar Kapoor and Vir Das which will hit screens on January 29, 2016.

Known to portray bold characters on screen, the sizzling beauty debuted with Pooja Bhatt’s erotic thriller ‘Jism 2’ opposite Randeep Hooda. She has also completed filming for an action thriller titled 'Tina and Lolo' and is currently shooting for Rajeev Chaudary's, 'Beiimaan Love' opposite Rajneesh Duggal.
