Sunny Leone supports PETA’s Cause

People used to say that “Bigg Boss” has never propelled anybody to stardom. However, Mahesh Bhatt indirectly changed the mind-set by casting a Bigg Boss entrant- Sunny Leone- in his film “Jism 2”.

Sunny Leone was an adult-entertainment star who was US-based but of an Indo-Canadian origin. Her stint in the show impressed the filmmaker so much so that he went inside the house and met her personally.

Today after making her debut with “Jism 2”, she will next be seen in “Ragini MMS 2”. She also endorses some brands and supports organizations such as PETA.

She recently appeared in the latest ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). Their latest campaign has been “Birth Control! Dogs Need It, Too. Sterilize your Dogs and Cats”. She is seen striking a pose with a dog named Kaali, who has been rescued by PETA.

Sunny Leone earlier had also been named in 2003 as the Penthouse Pet of the Year. She is utilizing her stardom to let her fans and the world know that the crisis of homeless dogs and cats will only be eradicated by sterilizing them.

This ad was shot by eminent photographer Gaurav Sawn. Her make-up and hair were styled by Ayesha Wadiwala.

When she was interviewed for the campaign she said,” I want that everybody should sterilize their dogs. I hope you guys are very nice to the animals who are out there on the streets. And do sterilize your dogs.”

She also passed on some information regarding the issue saying, “I believe that every single dog should be spayed and neutered. You don't want to continue the cycle of homeless dogs or cats. And spaying and neutering also keeps them healthy. It prevents them from having different diseases that they can get if they are not.”

She also added saying, “There is no difference when you get a dog from a shelter. Once he becomes a part of your family, you will never ever think that your dog is from a shelter. You will never think that, oh, my dog is sterilized and he can't reproduce again. Don't continue the cycle of creating life that can't be taken care of.”

Leone is busy about the sequel to the horror flick “Ragini MMS”. She has not started her shoot though, she said in an interview, “You guys are going to be really scared. I will be like jumping at you out of the screen. What happens in this movie is very, very scary. It will be more than scary.”
