Sunny Leone scorches the runway at New York Fashion Week

Actress Sunny Leone walked the ramp at the New York Fashion Week, becoming the first Bollywood celebrity to walk for the coveted fashion event. The 35-year-old actress opened the show for popular designer Archana Kochhar on Thursday night (September 8).

Model and acid attack victim Reshma Banoo Qureshi also showcased the designer’s collection on the ramp. Archana Kochhar is supporting the initiative Bring Beauty Back at the fashion week.

The ‘Jism 2’ actress took to Twitter earlier today to thank the Archana Kochhar and wrote, “Thank you @Archana_Kochhar for this amazing moment! Won't ever forget this!!” Sunny also shared a picture of her walking in the designer’s creations with the post.

Sunny looked radiant in the ensemble she wore. "Archana Kochhar is one of the select few that NYFW has accepted to showcase. She is one of my favourite designers in India and I am very proud to be wearing her clothes," the actress told a news wire talking about the outfit she wore.

The ace designer showcased her collection 'A tale of two travels', a melange of two capsule collections inspired from Archana's visit to the Taj Mahal and the village of Banjara tribals. The prints evoked not only the Taj Mahal but the lotus flower and royal elephants. Silhouettes included bell bottom trousers, cropped tops, capes, and jumpsuits. The colourful embroidery was contrasted with ivory, evoking the ivory marble of the Taj Mahal.
