On-screen buddies Kangana Ranaut and Swara Bhaskar turn foes off the screen

It appears that on-screen best friends of Tanu Weds Manu franchise Kangana Ranaut and Swara Bhaskar are not on good terms and have become foes off the screen. Aparrently Kangana has not forgotten how she was made to adjust her busy schedule to suit Swara’s timings.

The actors had played the roles of close friends Tanu and Payal in the films ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ in 2011 and its sequel that released recently.

Rumors have it that the two actors, although appeared friendly at public events, they hardly spoke to each other, not even during the screening of their recent movie ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’.

It is known that during the shooting of ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ in Delhi, Swara had requested director Anand L. Rai to wrap up her part early as she had other commitments to fulfil. The ‘Queen’ star too had a busy schedule and was not in a position to oblige, but she was made to tweak her plans for Swara’s convenience. Kangana was, obviously, upset over this.

According to a source, the production team eventually worked out a compromise and managed to relieve Swara early. “But since then, the two actresses have not interacted much with each other,” the source added. Meanwhile, Swara remained unavailable for comment.

Swara was a part of a theatre group before she ventured into Bollywood. She gained recognition after appearing in films like ‘Guzaarish’ and ‘Raanjhanaa’.
